FAQ
We get asked a variety of questions about our events. If you cannot find the answer below, please email us and we’ll respond as soon as possible.
As the course is point to point how do I get back to Liverpool from New Brighton?
A lot of runners arrange to be met on the Wirral side of the river and indeed many stay at the finish and enjoy the new retail facilities just along the promenade. If you are not being met at the finish then New Brighton train station is a short walk from the finish line and trains run every 30 minutes back to Liverpool. Time table details are included in the race instructions.
How do I get my kit and change of clothes to the finish?
Baggage buses are positioned at the start and leave at 9.15am. Your bag will be taken over to the finish line at New Brighton where you can collect once you have finished.
Is the event timed?
Yes the race is electronically timed. Your timing chip is on the back of your number.
Will my Garmin give me an accurate distance along the course?
Yes. The course is an accurate 10K course and although you descend into the Kingsway Tunnel the distance is picked up by the satellites when you emerge out of the Tunnel on the Wirral side. Due to the straightness of the tunnel the distance is re-calculated quite easily.
